The Modern Sports Rifle Defined

The proper term for what the biased news media improperly deems an "assault rifle" is modern sports rifle. For the most part, all that differentiates a modern sports rifle from other civilian rifle types are a modern sports rifle’s human comfort and convenience features, few of which have anything to do with the actual firing of ammunition, or lethality.

Modern sports rifles include features such as: modular design that makes them easy to customize; interchangeable and often collapsible butt stocks that make them easier for smaller people such many women to adjust for shorter arm reach; a pistol style grip below the receiver so that the physiological firing motion someone uses with a pistol can remain similar when using a rifle; sometimes carbon fiber composite materials (like a 787 airplane) for the construction of some components, like the stock, and housing parts, to lighten the weight of the rifle; internal combustion gas management that helps reduce recoil and manage heat; a muzzle flash suppressor or compensator, which are available in a variety of unique designs that enable them to reduce recoil; rail system barrel shrouds that make it possible to mount backup sights, flash lights, forward hand grips, and other accessories, and other contemporary innovations.

Millions of women and men all across the U.S. have mobilized to defend our country’s fundamental constitutional right to lawfully purchase, possess, sell, and responsibly use firearms, including modern sports rifles, and standard ammunition capacity pistols that can contain more than ten (10) rounds of ammunition.
